Oct 20th to Nov 7th

Oct 23- Ryan woke up today with a 102 fever.  He is back in the hospital for a while. Hopefully he can shake the fever and come home for a few days before the next scheduled round of chemo that starts on Thursday.

NOTE------ Mb and Gary just called.  They did not actually admit Ryan into the hospital.  They ran some tests on him and said he could go home.  His white count was real low so unless he can raise it up by next week he might get delayed in the next round of chemo.  They drove by the store and you could tell he did not feel very well today.  He is usually happy and playful with all his Pokeman stuff and today he just wanted to be left alone.

Oct 27th-  Ryan goes into the hospital tonight for round 5 of the chemo.  It looks like he will be in over Halloween even though he has a great Pokeman costume.  Thank you to everyone who donated blood this morning.  The turnout was great.  I'll update more frequently now that he will be back in the hospital again for chemo.

Oct 28th-  Well Ryan spent last night at the hospital and was fine with it.  The problems started to occur this morning when he told everyone he was going to sit in the chair and not lay down on the bed and sleep.  He said since he stayed there last night that it was enough and he did not have to sleep there again today. Considering he has around 5 more days in there it might be rough.  They were having a Halloween party today at the hospital so he was looking forward to that.  No word from MB and Gary yet how he is handling the chemo.  The one doctor did say they never say someone his age do so well with the treatment. Hopefully this round will go as well as the last.

Oct 30th- Ryan calmed down and actually had a great day yesterday at the hospital Halloween party.  His swing broke the piņata and he almost ripped out his IV port trying to grab all the candy.  So far so good with the chemo.  He gives the nurses a hard time but in doing so he still does what they ask him to.

Nov 2nd- Ryan got home from the hospital on Sunday.  He is doing great and has successfully completed his 5th round of chemo therapy.  He goes into the clinic on Thursday for blood work on an outpatient basis and should be able to stay home now for 2 weeks.
